Switchvox Cloud - Can I use video calling with a supported device on a Switchvox Cloud PBX
Switchvox PBX added support for phone video calls on version SMB 5.9 (68742). This feature was further enhanced with the release of Switchvox 6 when we added the ability to initiate video calls using the Switchboard interface via the Contact card. Please note that Video calls is only supported within extensions on the same system. Calls to the PSTN or other PBXes are not currently supported at this time. In terms of Video calls using phones, only phones configured with Phone feature packs are certified to work, Digium Technical Support is unable to guarantee that other third party phones will be compatible with video calling with Switchvox. As regards Video calls using the Switchboard, your will need to use a web browser that provides support for Web RTC, please review the training link provide above for requirements.
In the event that your supported phone is reporting that video codec is not available, please contact the administrator of your system and request the video codecs H263 and H264 be enabled on your extension, this can be done under the phone tab of your extension configuration page. In the event that you are the administrator of the Switchvox and you are experiencing problem, please contact your reseller or Digium Technical Support if you need further assistance.
