Switchvox Cloud - How do I Setup and Activate Remote Call Forwarding?

  1. Navigate to Products and click on the product in question, then click on RCF on the right side of the screen. In our example below, the product is SIP Trunk.

  2. Underneath RCF Rules, select “Add Forwarding Rule”.

  3. Configure your New Remote Call Forwarding Rule by completing each box

    1. “Description” - Input a brief description or name for the forwarding rule

    2. “Where to forward calls” - Input the phone number to which you wish to forward calls (forward calls TO this number)  Note: Only US48 numbers supported. You cannot forward calls to international numbers.

    3. “Numbers available for forwarding” - This is a pre-populated list of available numbers currently on your service. You will simply choose the number(s) you wish to be forwarded.

    4. Choose numbers by clicking on the desired phone number. If you wish to choose more than one number, use your computer’s multi-select shortcut keys to do so:

      1. Windows OS multi-select shortcut key:

        1. Shift + mouse click to select all numbers in a range

        2. Control + mouse click to select multiple specific numbers

      2. Mac OS multi-select shortcut keys:

        1. Shift + mouse click to select all numbers in a range

        2. Command + mouse click to select multiple specific numbers

    5.  “Add” button - After selecting the number(s) you wish to forward, select “Add”. This adds the highlighted numbers to the “Numbers selected for forwarding” box.

    6. “Numbers selected for forwarding” - This is the list of numbers you have selected to be forwarded.

  4. Select “Create” to create your RCF rule.  

NOTE: All RCF rules are DISABLED by default. You must enable RCF rules in order for them to actively forward numbers.

  1. In order for calls to be forwarded, you must ENABLE the call rule.

    1. Enable Call Forwarding rule(s) at the time you want calls to be forwarded.  Leave Call Forwarding rule(s) DISABLED until the time you need calls to be forwarded.  

 

RCF rule “Forward to Support Manager Cell” is now ENABLED.

Note: Remember to DISABLE Call Forwarding rule(s) when you want calls to flow normally and not be forwarded to external numbers.
