Overview

The Campaign Registry (TCR) is an initiative created by the Cellular Telecommunications Industry Association (CTIA) to secure their networks from spam SMS and MMS messaging. Per The Campaign Registry (TCR) rules, Application-to-Person (A2P) SMS and MMS message traffic may not be delivered to US-based end-user mobile devices unless the message traffic is properly registered as a campaign.

As a Sangoma customer, if you are currently using or intend to send any SMS/MMS messages using our Sangoma UCaaS or SIPStation services, you must first register your brand and your campaign(s) with the TCR and then associate the SMS/10DLC number to be used with that campaign.

A brand, as viewed by TCR, is your company. Specifically, the company that will be sending the messages, not a partner or agent.

A campaign is any SMS/MMS messaging that will be sent to an end-user (a person’s mobile phone) from any of Sangoma’s UCaaS or applications.

There are 4 Major steps in The Campaign Registration process.

  1. Create an Account and provide Billing info.

  2. Register your Brand

  3. Register your campaigns

  4. Assign an SMS/10DLC number to the campaign
