Sangoma Meet v5.8.4 Patch Release Notes

This is a routine maintenance release focused on enhancing the stability, reliability, and overall performance of your Sangoma Meet application.

We've addressed several key issues to ensure a smoother, more consistent, and reliable meeting experience for all users.

Improvements in this Release:

• Meeting Control Consistency: Fixed an issue where a user granted moderator privileges in one meeting might unexpectedly retain those privileges in subsequent meetings. Now meeting roles are always set correctly.

• Accurate Screen Recording: Resolved a problem where, during a second recording in the same meeting, the previously shared screen might be recorded instead of the currently active one. Recordings will now always capture the correct content.

• Improved Live Captions: Addressed an issue where captions were intermittently not appearing on screen for both meeting hosts and participants. Live captions should now display reliably.

• Enhanced Audio Recording Stability: Corrected a bug that could cause missing audio from participants in recordings, especially when someone spoke and then muted quickly. All voices will now be captured clearly.

• Transcription Reliability: Improved the stability of starting and stopping live transcriptions.
