Support Services - How do I fix the error,"There was a problem saving the phone assignments.Database sql execution failed" when trying to assign my Digium phone to an extension?

Log into the Switchvox as an Administrator.

Navigate to Setup-Digium Phones.

Choose the Desk Phones tab. Steps 4 through 9 will be completed under the Desk Phones tab.

Use the View box to find the MAC address of the phone that you can not assign and that is causing the Database SQL Error. The MAC address will most likely be in the Unassigned Phones view.

If the MAC address is in the Assigned Phones view, click the red X button beside the phones MAC address to unassign the phone. If the MAC is in the Unassigned Phones view, go to step 6. 

In the Unassigned Phones view, click the Ignore button to the right of the Modify button for the offending phones MAC Address.

Now use the View box to select the Ignored Phones view.

In the Ignored Phones view, find the same MAC address for the phone that you just removed from the Unassigned Phones view.

Click the Red X button to Delete the MAC Address.

Restart the phone. After the phone is restarted you will see its MAC address appear in the Unassigned Phones view.

Now you will be able to assign the phones MAC address without any errors.
