Zipwhip End of Life -- Replaced with Sangoma Native SMS Solution

Your SMS text messaging integration with Zipwhip is being replaced with Sangoma’s Native SMS solution.

To send and receive external text messages via the Native SMS solution, you'll use the myHUD desktop app. 

To download myHUD, see CommUnity myHUD Application Information.

To log into myHUD, use your Sangoma CommUnity email address and password. 

• If you do not know your email address and password to log into myHUD, please check your email for a message containing the email address and temporary password for your Native SMS solution.

• Some users will be able to log in using your HUD Web email and password. If you are already a Sangoma CommUnity user who was using Zipwhip, your email and password will be the same for the myHUD app.

• If you are still unable to log into myHUD, please contact technical support.

Why is This Changing?

For legacy Fonality UCaaS customers, and some of our CommUnity customers, SMS external text messaging functionality was offered via integration with a third-party, Zipwhip.

Zipwhip was acquired by Twilio, and now the Zipwhip platform is being deprecated December 1, 2023.

Sangoma offers external text messaging with our Native SMS solution, which will replace Zipwhip for those customers.

IMPORTANT

All prior Zipwhip customers who will be using CommUnity's Native SMS must re-register their organization using Sangoma's 10DLC Registration Portal. For more information, see SMS Campaign Registry Requirements for Sangoma UCaaS and SIPStation SIP Trunking Customers.
