Support Services - Why can't I read the TSR report file after downloading to a windows machine
The reason you cannot open a TSR report on a Windows machine is that the TSR report is in a Linux native format, and needs to be extracted to be viewed on a Windows machine.
Download a TSR from your Switchvox under Server-Technical Support-Download TSR.
Rename the TSR file extension from .svt to .tar and save.
Now you can view the TSR.tar if your computer supports viewing tar files.
If you are on a Windows system, you will need to install a program to extract the file such as 7-Zip
Right-click the file and use 7-Zip to extract the .tar file to a directory
The file may extract into another .tar file, just extract it again using 7-Zip and you will be able to navigate the log directory afterward.
