Support Services - Complete list of changes that will cause calls to drop and services to restart

Below is a complete list of Switchvox admin user-interface changes that will cause dropped calls and services to restart:

  1. Creating, modification or deleting of any Channel Groups, under Setup > Call Routing > Channel Groups

  2. Applying Switchvox Software Updates, under Server > Maintenance > Updates

  3. Changing the System Clock, under Server > Maintenance > System Clock

  4. Saving the IP Configuration, under Server > Networking > IP Configuration

  5. Applying SIP Provider changes, under Setup > Call Routing > VOIP Providers

  6. Any changes to the Telephony Card page, under Server > Maintenance > Telephony Cards

    • Scanning for New Devices

    • Deleting or Modifying Telephony cards

    • Saving the Hardware Country settings

    • Enabling or Disabling Hardware Echo Cancellation

    • Running Echo Reduction Tool

  7. Restart options, under Server > Maintenance > System Reload

    1. Software Restart, Server Reboot, and Server Shut Down

    2. Note, the Software Reload option will not drop calls

To avoid impacting current call, it is recommended to make these changes after business hours.
