Support Services - What troubleshooting steps can I try if the record softkey is not working on a Digium phone?
If you receive or place a call and the record softkey is greyed out, or pushing it during a call does nothing, try the following:
In the Switchvox admin interface, go to Setup > Extensions Manage and modify the extension you are testing with
Go to the Permissions tab and open Use Calling Features
Turn on Record Own Calls and Save
If the phone does not show reconfiguring:
On the phone, push More > More > Menu
Choose Restart and hit OK
When the phone comes back up, place a call to or from the phone and test the record softkey
If it still does not work:
In the Switchvox admin interface, go to Server > Access Control
Modify the Access Control Rule for the network the phone is on
Turn on User API and Save
Place a call to or from the phone and test the record softkey
If it still does not work:
Make sure that TCP ports 80 and 443 are open on the network
Place a call to or from the phone and test the record softkey
