How to Clear a Message indicating SSL Certificate Has Expired

If you log into the administrator interface for Switchvox and see a popup window that states "your SLL Certificate has expired", follow the steps below to clear the error.

The error message simply means the SSL certificate the PBX generated expired and it needs to generate a new one.

Method one:

  1. Hover over the popup window that displays the error.

  2. Choose to regenerate the SSL Certificate (NOTE: This will drop all calls).

  3. When the PBX comes back up you will need to accept the certificate and the error will be gone.

Method two:

  1. Hook up a monitor and keyboard to the PBX

  2. Select the Reset HTTPS certificate option from the menu (NOTE: This will drop all calls).

  3. When the PBX comes back up you will need to accept the certificate and the error will be gone.
