Support Services - How do I fix the error "Failed to load Avahi Configuration File' when saving the IP Configuration Page?

The avahi configuration file can sometimes become corrupted or go missing.  It will generate this error when saving your network settings on the IP Configuration page.  Even though the error is generated it still saves the changes.

In order to correct the error you simply need to recreate the file.  This can be done in two ways:

  1. Update the server.  Chances are you may be a version or two behind.  Updating the server will rewrite the file and resolve the error. ( see also: Correct Switchvox SMB Software Upgrade Path )

  2. Reinstall and apply a backup.  Consider this a last resort.
