Salesforce - What do you do if you get "API_DISABLED_FOR_ORG: API" message in Salesforce panel?

If you receive the following when testing your Salesforce panel in Switchvox:

Login Test Failed
Could not login to your salesforce account. API_DISABLED_FOR_ORG: API is not enabled for this Organization or Partner

Please verify that:

1. You have admin privileges on the Salesforce account and have API abilities.

2. API abilities only come with enterprise or unlimited edition, unless you pay Salesforce extra and have it enabled (they do not come with a Workgroup subscription).

3. If unsure, contact Salesforce to see if API is enabled.
