Scribe Support on Switchvox

SMS Support in the Sangoma Talk App

Allows users to send and receive SMS messages directly from the Sangoma Talk mobile app.

Embedded Sangoma Phone Client for Microsoft Teams

We are pleased to introduce the Embedded Sangoma Phone client for Microsoft Teams, bringing Switchvox calling, voicemail, messaging, contacts, and queue features directly into the Teams interface.

Users can place and receive calls, access voicemail and recordings, send messages, and manage contacts — all without leaving Microsoft Teams. The app also includes integrated Switchvox Advanced Queue functionality for enhanced call handling within Teams.

Seamless Switchvox Integration with Sangoma NetOps

This release introduces Switchvox integration with Sangoma NetOps, enabling administrators to monitor, manage, and optimize Switchvox systems directly from the NetOps dashboard. Users can access real-time call statistics, system health, and performance insights in a single, unified interface.

Security Enhancements

Release 8.4 includes several important security enhancements, including a fix for a SQL injection vulnerability (requires admin credentials) and an Encrypted Backup Restore process.
Multi-factor authentication (MFA) has been strengthened by masking email addresses on the OTP screen and introducing a configurable MFA timeout limit.

System and Performance Improvements

Switchvox 8.4 delivers several system and performance improvements, including optimized Apache settings to enhance request handling efficiency and improved overall HTTPD resource management.
Apache (httpd) resource handling has been further refined to improve memory management and overall system performance, ensuring better resource utilization and enhanced stability for Switchvox.

Switchvox Zendesk Integration

Added support for Chrome 142+ Private Network Access (PNA) requirements to enable private network communication for local Switchvox deployments.
