Switchvox - Best way to create shared mailboxes in Switchvox
The best way to create a shared mailbox would be to create voicemail notifications for the extension you wish to share. Currently there is no way to share voicemail boxes any other way. In order to set this up you will need to login to your /main using your extension and voicemail password. Once you are logged in please go to:
Voicemail/Fax => Voicemail Options =>
There are two ways you can forward messages to other users. It can be done by setting up a new voicemail email notification or by forwarding the Voicemail messages to another extension.
To setup a new VM notification, click the Voicemail Notifications tab.
Here you can enter in a new email address for another user to also receive this VM.To setup a new forwarding rule, click on the Forwarding Tab.
Here you can create new rules to forward the messages to other extensions on the system.
Note: If you wish for a copy of the voicemail to remain on the initial extension then make sure the 'Delete On Forward' option is disabled.
