Switchvox - Cisco Catalyst 3550 PoE switch causing Digium phones not to boot correctly
If you are using a Cisco Cisco Catalyst 3550 PoE switch and having a problem with the Digium branded phones going through a boot cycle the problem is caused by an incompatibility between the old and new PoE standard. This is not a bug in the Switchvox software or Digium phones. Please note this may also affect other branded phones such as Polycom.
The fix for this issue is to add the following line to your switchport config: power inline delay shutdown 20 initial 300
The above fix has resolved this issue for other customers that are using the Cisco Catalyst 3550 PoE switch.
