Switchvox - How to stop call collision aka cross connect aka Glare
In order to fix this issue there are a few things you can do:
The first thing is check with your provider to make sure they send incoming calls in descending order. Meaning the provider sends incoming calls to the last available channel.
If the provider is sending incoming calls in ascending order it can cause the system to experience a lot of glare because outgoing calls and incoming calls try to connect on the same channels.
There is no way to change this setting on the PBX so check with your provider and if they are in fact sending incoming calls in ascending order request they change it to send them to the PBX in descending order.
Is the PBX frequently using all available channels then glare is going to be an issue until more channels are added.
If a PBX has 8 available trunks does it frequently use all 8 channels? If so I it would probably be best to order more trunks from the telco provider to ensure that incoming and outgoing calls have enough open trunks to prevent glare.
