Switchvox - How do you use Bulk-Modify Extensions to change Numeric Passwords

The Bulk-Modify Extension tool lets you search for and select a group of extensions, then modify specific settings for this group at the same time. Do the following to modify the numeric password for a group of extensions:

1. Click Setup. 

2. Under Extensions, click Manage.

3. Then click Bulk-Modify Extensions to display the Bulk-Modify Extensions window.

4. Under the Phone Extensions section, enter an extension in the Type to Search field, or click the magnifying glass to display a list of extensions from which you can select one or more extensions you want to modify. After selecting the extensions, click the Add button to display the selected extensions in the Phone Extensions text box.

5. Under the Phone-Extension Fields section, in the Field to modify box, click the expand arrow to display the drop-down menu. 

6. Select Numeric Password from the list, then click Next. This displays the Numeric Password popup.

7. Enter the desired Numeric Password in both text blocks. NOTE: If your system requires strong passwords, you cannot have consecutive or repeating numbers. You also cannot use the extension number in the password.

8. When finished, click Add. This displays the change you made under Modifications. You can make changes or delete the modification by clicking the appropriate Action icon. 

9. To save the changes, click Save Modifications. This applies the Numeric Password you entered to all of the extensions you selected.
