Switchvox - How do I register an Aastra phone?
The Aastra phone is not fully supported by Switchvox. Although we can offer only limited support, phone may still work. Since the Phone Feature Packs will not work you will need to manually configure.
In the pbx:
Go to Setup > Manage.
Modify the extension you are wanting to configure to the phone.
Go to Phone Settings > Common Settings.
Create an authentication password. This is the password that Switchvox will use to configure your phone. It is separate from the voicemail password which is numeric. The Common Settings password can be number and letters
Within the phone's web interface:
Identify the phone's ip address.
Point your browser to the web interface of the phone.
Enter login credentials ( I believe the username: admin, password:22222 ).
Go to lines enter your pbx ip address as the server and your extension information.
Here are a few things to check if you are still having problems.
Failed registrations:
Check Access Control - make sure SIP is enabled for which every network this phone belongs to.
Check Access Control > Blocked IP - make sure that you ip is not being blocked.
Check Error logs - see if it says registration failed for wrong password.
