Why is my SIP peer/provider showing Unmonitored?

Why does my SIP peer/provider show unmonitored under Server > Connection Status?

 

Latency is monitored using Qualify.  Qualify Hosts sends and receives a packet in order to accomplish this.  Some providers do not respond to sip options or qualify.  All switchvox units can use qualify.

 

To enable Qualify Hosts:

  1. Go to Server > Voip Providers

  2. Modify the Provider or Peer in question

  3. Click the Connection Settings Tab

  4. Change the Slider for Qualify to Yes

  5. Save the page

  6. Check the status under Server > Connection Status
