Switchvox - How do I troubleshoot power supply issues on Switchvox appliances
When troubleshooting a possible power failure on a Switchvox appliance, check the steps below to help isolate the cause of the problem:
Always test with a different, known good, power source to make sure there is power being provided by the outlet.
Check the LED behavior on the back of the power supply:
Green = Power supply is operational
Amber = Power supply is in standby or pre-boot
Red = Power supply is non-functional
If the Switchvox is a 360, 380, 450, or 470, remove the power supplies and swap their positions. Note any changes to the LED behavior or alarms.
Note: If there is no change when the power supply positions are swapped then there is likely an issue with the power supply backplane.
