Switchvox - Why Do I Not See My Extended Entry Permissions In My Phonebook?
Assuming you have setup Extended Permission through Setup > Extensions: Permissions, and you have Extended Entries through Main> Features > Phonebooks but you are not seeing the extended permission icons in Switchboard when logged in as the Permission Holder’s extension.
There must be an active call on an extension for the permissions to be visible.
If the Phonebooks are setup properly, but the extended permission icon are not showing up on those extensions when there is an active call on it, then try opening Switchboard in a different browser. Use a “private window” (Firefox) or an “incognito window” (Chrome) and see if the icons appear (during active call). If you still are not able to see the extended permissions, proceed to step 3.
Check to make sure that you have a Jabber Hostname setup under Server > IP Configuration page > Advanced Options. If it is blank and you do not use a hostname for the jabber host, you can enter pbx. Your hostname may show as localhost.localdomain. If you have a different Hostname, the Jabber Hostname can be the same as the Hostname. NOTE: Any changes the you make to this page will restart services and drop all calls when you save the page.
If you have a firewall verify that these ports are open: 5222 TCP, 843 TCP, 5269 TCP.
Is it still not working after trying this?
