Switchvox - How Do I Route Incoming Calls To a Queue On a Peered Switchvox?

If you would like to route incoming calls from Peer A to a queue on Peer B these are the steps you will need to route the call. This is assuming that you have an Incoming Call Route setup on the first Peer A and you want all incoming calls on a DID to go to a call queue on Peer B. Both Peers are completely setup and are completely synced without errors or conflicts.

Create a IVR  on Peer A.:

  1. Tools > IVR Editor > Create IVR Menu.

    1. Label Menu

    2. Save IVR Menu.

  2. In IVR Menu > under Actions: Create Action

    1. Action Type: Send to External Number and Enter Extension number of the queue on Peer B.

  3. Assign an extension number to the IVR:

  4. Go to Setup > Extensions: Manage > Create Extension > Extension Type = IVR > Extensions Template = Default.

Next, route incoming calls to the IVR extension on Peer A under Setup > Call Routing: Incoming Calls > Create Single DID Route.

Enter the incoming number in the Incoming DID to Match field and the extension of the IVR in the Extension to Route Call field
