Switchvox system sounds cannot be removed but you can record over the sound, or upload a different sound file over the system sound. This articles describes the process to change system sounds.
As an administrator, navigate to Tools-Sound Manager.
Select the folder that the system sound is in, using the View box.
In the Active Sounds list, find the system sound file that you would like to change.
Select the Modify/Play button (yellow pencil) to the right of the desired system sound.
In the Sound Info screen, choose the Modify button (yellow pencil).
Now in the Modify Sound screen, you have the option to record over the sound, or upload a sound file from your computer.
To upload a sound file, choose Upload File in the Sound Source box then click the Upload File box to add the file.
Choose the Save Sound button.
To record over the sound, the Sound Source should be set to Record Over Phone.
Then, in the Extension To Ring For Recording box, enter the phones extension number and choose the Ring Phone button.
The extension you have selected will ring and when answered it will prompt the user to record a message.
After the user has recorded the message and hangs up the call, you will need to choose the Done button and then click the Save Sound button.
Now navigate to Server-System Reload and choose Software restart. This will load the new sound file. This setting will also cause any current calls to drop so make sure no users are on the phone.
