Switchvox - What do I do if I restore a cloud backup to a premise PBX and lose my admin permissions?
Cloud based admin accounts have limited permissions compared to an on site, premise based Switchvox server.
If you restore a backup from a cloud instance to an on site server, you will not have full admin permissions with your cloud credentials, but the Superadmin login will still be associated with the premise server.
Try logging in as Superadmin (all lowercase):
Username: admin
Password: admin
If that does not work, do the following:
If your Switchvox server has an LCD screen on the front, push the check mark button to bring up the menu
Scroll down to Reset Admin PW
Hit OK
Try logging in again as Superadmin (all lowercase):
Username: admin
Password: admin
If your Switchvox appliance does not have an LCD screen on the front, do the following:
Plus in a monitor and keyboard to the server
Hit any key to bring up the menu
Choose Set Admin Password and input a new password
Try logging in again as Superadmin:
Username: admin
Password: the password you put in step 3 above
This log in will give you full admin permissions to continue configuring your Switchvox with your cloud backup restored.
