Switchvox - How to block a particular number dialing from an extension.

Login as an administrator to the Switchvox.

  1. Go to Setup -> Call Routing -> Outgoing Calls

  2. Create Outgoing Call Rule

  • Rule name:

  • Number begins with the digits: xxxxxxxxxx (Particular Number)

  • The rest of the number must be between 0 and 0 digits in length

  • Before connecting the call, trim 0 digits from the front, and then prepend the digits (leave blank) to the number.

  • Primary Call Through Provider: Internal

  • Is this rule final? Yes

  • Allow all existing extensions to use this rule?

              Enable above option to use this rule for all extensions
              Disable above option not to use for all extensions.

  • Save Outgoing Call Rule

  1. Move created Outgoing Call rule to the top ( Priority 1) under Outgoing Call rules

  2. If the Outgoing Call Rule is not for all extensions,  modify the extension to which this rule has to applied and go to Outgoing Call Rules, search for the created Outgoing Call Rule, add and save SIP extension

 

Note:
Have to create different Outgoing Call Rules, if the system has Outgoing Call Rules with :
91+10 digits, Number begins with the digits:91xxxxxxxxxx
1+10 digits, Number begins with the digits:1xxxxxxxxxx
10 digits, Number begins with the digits:xxxxxxxxxx

And move these rules to the top under Outgoing Call Rules.
