Switchvox - Why Is The Chat Icon Gray And Inactive In Switchboard?

There are three items that must be true for the chat icon to work:

  1. The extension permissions must have chat enabled (go to Setup > Manage > modify pencil > Permissions tab > Use PBX Features > Use Switchboard Chat Widget). 

  2. The extension must be included in the Internal Directory, in one of the groups (Tools > Internal Directory). 

  3. The extension user must be logged in and running their Switchboard, or that extension will not be available for chat in another user's Switchboard..
