Switchvox - How Do I Create A General Voicemail that will show visual indications of a new message?

This article explains how to create a general voicemail for distributing voicemail.  

Set up the Voicemail Extension

1. Setup → Extensions → Manage Extensions

2. Create Extension

3. For Extension Type Choose either "SIP Phone or SIP Adapter for Analog Phone (ATA)” or "Virtual Extension"

4. Choose Extension Number

5. Save

Set up Voicemail Forwarding

1. Login as the Voicemail Extension you chose

2. Go to Voicemail/Fax → Voicemail Options → Forwarding

3. Enable Voicemail Forwarding

4. If you do not want voicemails to be archived at this extension, Turn on Delete On Forward.

5. If you only want 1 recipient for each new message, choose Round Robin forwarding type. Otherwise choose Send To All to broadcast each message to all recipients.

6. Forwarding Destinations: This is the list of extensions who will potentially receive a message left at this mailbox. You can choose all extensions, existing extension groups, or select individual extensions.

7. Save Forwarding Options

Now whenever this mailbox gets a new message it will be sent to an extension or extensions from the list of destinations and those extensions will receive the visual indicator as well as any other notifications they have enabled for their extension.
