Switchvox - What should I do after I apply a customer's backup to a lab PBX?
After applying a customer’s backup, make the following changes to avoid adversely affecting the customer’s active phone system.
If not providing a backup to a customer, do the following:
Delete VOIP Provider. Go to Setup > VoIP Providers.
Delete PEER connection. Go to Setup > Peered Switchvoxes. Only necessary if PEER is accessible via the Internet.
Reset admin password. Via console access, set the admin password to “admin”.
Stop Call Recording offloading. Go to Tools > Call Recording > Call Recording Settings button. Clear FTP settings. Only necessary if FTP server is accessible via the Internet.
Delete Event Triggers. Go to Tools > Event Triggers. Only necessary if the URL is accessible via the Internet.
Delete Alerts. Go to Tools > Alert Manager. Delete Alert Subscriptions.
Delete Scheduled Reports. Go to Reporting > Scheduled Reports.
Delete Automatic Backups. Go to Server > Backups > Set Up Automatic Backups button. Only necessary if FTP server is accessible via the Internet.
Go to Setup > Settings and click the Refresh Connection to Sangoma Cloud button.
If providing a backup to a customer, do the following. These suggestions should allow a customer to easily revert your changes.
Disable VOIP Provider. Go to Setup > VoIP Providers. Modify the Hostname or IP to unregister the connection.
Disable PEER connection. Go to Setup > Peered Switchvoxes. Disable by inserting “DELETE_ME” in the Shared Username. Only necessary if PEER is accessible via the Internet.
Reset admin password. Via console access, set the admin password to “admin”.
Disable Call Recording offloading. Go to Tools > Call Recording > Call Recording Settings button. Disable by inserting “DELETE_ME” in the FTP Username. Only necessary if FTP server is accessible via the Internet.
Disable Event Triggers. Go to Tools > Event Triggers. Disable by inserting “DELETE_ME” in the URL. Only necessary if the URL is accessible via the Internet.
Disable Alerts. Go to Tools > Alert Manager. Disable by inserting “DELETE_ME” in the Alert Subscription email address.
Disable Scheduled Reports. Go to Reporting > Scheduled Reports. Disable by inserting “DELETE_ME” in the email address.
Disable Automatic Backups. Go to Server > Backups > Set Up Automatic Backups button. Disable by inserting “DELETE_ME” in the FTP Username. Only necessary if FTP server is accessible via the Internet.
Go to Setup > Settings and click the Refresh Connection to Sangoma Cloud button.
Caution, the following actions may affect end users.
Leaving voicemails on an extension, may email end users.
If modifying ACLs to allowing testing, revert changes if providing backup to customer.
