Setting up Switchvox with VoIP Innovations (VI) Trunks
Before you set up VoIP information with Switchvox, we recommend that you update your Switchvox PBX to version 7.3.1 or higher (the latest version being the recommended) In Switchvox 7.3.1 contains changes related to media handling that provides better compatibility with VoIP Innovations trunks. If you run a version prior 7.3.1, you run the risk of having no audio on incoming or outgoing calls.

In order to set up your VoIP Innovations:
Login in to the admin interface of your PBX (https://URL.or.IP.of.PBX/admin)
Go to VoIP Setup > VoIP provider
Under "VOIP Providers," click on the Create SIP Provider button.
Click on the Provider Information tab and fill out the following information:
Note: VoIP Innovations does not use username and password authentication, however, Swtichvox always requires a password to be entered. Feel free to enter any random string of characters and numbers, remembering this password is not required.
SIP Provider Name: VoIP Innovations
Your Account ID: <Your_Company_Name>
Your Password: <Enter a random string of number and letters>
Hostname/IP address: 64.136.173.30
Callback Extension: Should be a default extension on your system as per Switchvox Requirements
Callback Extension: Should be a default fax extension on your system as per Switchvox Requirements
DTMF Mode: RFC2833
Click on the Peer Settings tab and change the host type from provider to peer.
Click on the Caller ID Setting tab and change information.
Note: VoIP Information does not allow Switchvox to send CallerID Name information, if you would like to set a CallerID name, please login into your VoIP Innovations backoffice portal and update your callerID name there. If you need assistance setting your CallerID Name, please contact VoIP Innovation support.
Supports Changing Caller ID: Yes
Caller ID Name: <Leave it Blank>
Caller ID Number: <Your Main CallerID Number>
Click on the Connection Setting tab and change information.
(Optional) Qualify Hosts: Yes
Under “SIP Provider Host List”: Add the additional VoIP Innovations SIP signaling IP addresses.
The complete list of IPs can be found HERE, We recommend adding Conversational and Origination, or (to be safe), add all IP addresses in the list to ensure that you will not miss any inbound calls. if you experience issues with inbound calls, we recommend reviewing the complete list and compare to what you have set up in your SIP Provider Host list. Additionally, please check that SIP is enabled in your Switchvox access control, so your Switchvox PBX will accept calls form VoIP Innovations servers.
Click Save and you are done with setting up your VoIP Innovations.
Please note that if you have multiple numbers or DID, you may want to use outbound and inbound rules in order to set caller ID number rules per extension or groups or redirect inbound calls to a particular extension.
