Updating to Switchvox 7.9.4

This version requires version 7.0 (94939). See the article Updating to Switchvox 7.0  for instructions on migrating to version 7.0.  Please note that users may need to clear their web browser cache after the update, so any changes from your prior version are displayed correctly.  

Enhancements & Changes

Phone Networks have a new setting: Prefer DHCP Option 42 provided NTP. This can be changed to NO so that the phone will ignore Option42 DHCP-provided NTP servers. This setting does not apply to the D80 phone model.  Phone Networks are used by Sangoma's desk phones when they are attached to Switchvox.

Issues Resolved

• A phone's Location caller ID and emergency outgoing call rule will always take priority over the user's settings:

  • Desk phone assigned a user's Main extension

  • Desk phone assigned a user's Additional Phone Extension

  • Desk phone secondary line assigned a SIP Phone extension

  • Hot desking phone with a user logged in

  • Hot desking phone without a user logged in

  • Desktop Softphone app with a Location indicated in the app itself

• P-Series desk phones:

  • Phones no longer have a Contrast setting in Switchvox (that setting was only for legacy D-Series phones).

  • Configurations are corrected for a specified number of Rapid Dial pickup entries that is specific to the phone model.

  • If Enable Line Keys for Rapid Dial is NO, the first entry on the rapid dial list will no longer be placed on one of the unused line keys.

  • Duplicate status indicator entries in an Admin Rapid Dial List and a user's Rapid Dial List no longer cause duplicate entries on a desk phone.

• A user who is using the Switchboard to record another's call now correctly receives an error, Could not record, if the call is being automatically recorded under a rule with Allow Recordings to be Muted set to YES.

• A forwarded voicemail is now correctly deleted from the receiving extension, where the extension is set up to send voicemail messages to email and then delete them.

• Salesforce Lightning app now correctly finds matching records where caller ID has +1 prefix but the Salesforce record does not.

• Merging 2 calls in the desktop softphone is now correctly logged in Switchvox.

• The Sangoma Meet integration with the client apps is corrected to address changes made in that service.
