How to set up a basic Switchvox SIP Peer without authentication

1. ​​​​​Navigate to Setup-VOIP Providers and click Create SIP Provider.

2. Choose the Peer Settings tab and set the Host Type to Peer. This allows the Switchvox to connect to the endpoint without requiring a password or authentication.

3. Go back to the Provider Information tab and enter your information in the required fields. The Your Password field will require you to enter something into it. It can be a single digit or letter but it will not be used. It is just required to save the VOIP Provider settings.

4. Now complete the fields in the other VOIP Provider settings tabs and save the VOIP Provider settings. This will reset the PBX software and drop any current calls so make sure there are no active calls before saving the VOIP Provider settings.

5. You can now use just the Account ID and Switchvox Hostname/IP Address in your other endpoint to connect to the Switchvox without using a password and authentication.
