Contact Tags Tab (6.0)

Contact Tags setting is no longer available in later versions of Switchvox. See article SETUP-EXTENSIONS-SETTINGS-Manage-Phone-and-Virtual-Extensions-6-6.

Notes about Groups and Tags:

• Groups have a specific order, Tags are alphabetic order

• Tags can contain External Contacts, Groups cannot.

• If you delete a Tag that is maintained with a Group, the Group’s Link to Tag is automatically set to NO.

The Contact Tags tab lets the admin set the extension as subscribed (or not) to tags and assigned (or not) to tags.

Contact Tag Subscriptions

The Contact Tag Subscription collector box lets you indicate which Tags this extension is subscribed to. If you want a person (extension) to use a Tag in his or her Switchboard, put that Tag under Subscriptions. When an extension is subscribed to a Tag, it means the extension's Switchboard includes all the Contacts in the Tag, and the Tag is available for filtering the Contacts list. The Tags themselves are defined in Tools > Contacts.

Contact Tag Assignments

The Contact Tag Assignment collector box lets you indicate which Tags this extension is included in. If you want a person (extension) to be included in the Tag, put that Tag under Assignments.
