Switchvox - How do I fix an "Unable to update your status" error?

If you are seeing an error - "Unable to update your status" when attempting to change your status via your extension log in, do the following:

To confirm the issue:

  1. Go to Setup > Extensions Manage > Log into an extension

  2. Click the small person icon in the upper right corner and try to change the status

 

If you get the error "Unable to update your status":

  1. Go to Server > IP Configuration > Advanced Options and confirm there is an input for jabber hostname, if not put in: pbx

  2. If there is already a jabber hostname simply resave the page, this will rewrite the jabber hostname to the appropriate folder

 

Go back and test in the extension log in again.
