Switchvox - How to Register a Zoiper Soft Phone

Steps on the PBX

1. Login to the admin portal navigate to Setup -> Manage -> Modify (pencil button) the SIP extension you wish to register -> Phone Settings tab -> Common Settings -> Phone Password.

To register a Zoiper soft phone:

1. Open Zoiper and navigate to the Settings dropdown and select Preferences

2. Then in the General tab input the following:

   • Domain = IP of the Switchvox

   • Username = The extension number you are trying to configure

   • Password = Phone password 

   • Caller ID = Displays the CID you wish to send

3. Then click OK and your phone should register

If it does not register, check the error logs for any errors. If you do not see any error messages run a packet capture while trying to register the soft phone and see if any traffic from the soft phone is making it to the PBX.
