Switchvox - How do I pick up a call ringing on another extension

In order to pick up a call that is ringing on another extension, you will need to navigate to Setup-Extensions-Manage and create a Feature Code Extension. The type will be Directed Pickup. Below, is an example that will show you how to set up a Directed Pickup Feature Code extension on your Switchvox.

Then you will need to complete the following steps, using your own feature code extension number:

  1. You define *39 as the Directed Pickup feature code.

  2. Choose the authorized extensions you want to allow to use this feature by selecting Create Directed Pickup Group, and then choose the Extensions to Pickup.

  3. Now dialing *39202 will allow you to pick up an incoming call on extension 202.
