Switchvox - How Do I Pick Up A Call On Hold In The Parking Lot?
To pick up a call that is on hold on another extension, you will use the Parking Lot feature. The extension that has the call would Park the call, instead of using "hold".
A default Call Parking extension 700 is preconfigured, and reserves all extensions between 701 and 799.
From Digium Phones (not using Switchboard):
Use the Park softkey to park the call, and it will be sent to one of the Parking extensions (the default Parking Lot extensions are 701-799).
The Park softkey displays on the Digium phone screen when a call is answered. To Park a call the user can press the Park softkey.
To pick up the parked call from another extension, from the main screen on a Digium phone, hit the More softkey (or Menu hardkey, if available), then Parked Calls softkey and this shows all the current parked calls.
Choose a parked call and hit Answer softkey; the call will be picked up.
Using Switchboard:
There is a widget (panel) for the Parking Lot (if not it must be added to the Switchboard; follow these steps).
Click on the Park icon under the My Call widget
Any other extension can then answer the parked call from the Parked Call widget. Simply, click on the call and the extension will ring.
