Switchvox - How to Create a Call Rule for a Converged Phone
What is a converged phone?
The Converged Phones option allows you to join as many as five other Switchvox extensions or phones to the main extension so all numbers appear to be the main extension.
Things to consider when you converge phones:
You probably want to adjust the Call Rules for your main phone and any converged Switchvox extensions, so that incoming calls ring your phones appropriately.
Most of the time, you should log into the Switchvox Extension Suite for your main phone. The only time you should need to log into the Extension Suite for a converged phone is to set up specific Call Rules or Phone Features.
PLEASE NOTE: The Converged Phone feature has been eliminated and replaced by the Additional Phones feature in v. 6.6.x. and higher.

To set up call rules to ring a converged phone:
Log into your main extension that has the phone converged to it
Go to Features > Call Rules and Create a Call Rule Set or Modify an existing Call Rule Set
Create a new Action that is appropriate for how you want the converged phone to be called (for example, Ring All, and add both the main extension and the converged phone and this will ring both phones at the same time. Or, cascade after 5 rings and this will call a converged external phone after the main extension phone rings 5 times)
Save the Action and test
Note: Be sure to have the new Call Rule in the correct order so that the call follows the rules in the order you want (Switchvox reads Call Rules from the top down)
