How to change a ring back tone for the country your Switchvox is located in

At times, you may need to change the tone your Switchvox responds with when dialed. This tone is what callers here when they dial a number as the actual "ring" sound. This usually will vary based on the country you are calling. It's important for you to choose the country that your Switchvox is located in. Specifying the country that your PBX is located in may adjust analog line impedance and analog signaling tones. This can remedy problems, such as echo, that your phone system could have as well. 

 

Steps to Configure: 

  1. From the Admin Portal of Switchvox, navigate to Server>Maintenance>Telephony Cards.

  2. Select the desired National ring back tone from the drop down list under Hardware Country Settings.

  3. Select Save

Note: This will cause the software to restart and drop any current calls on the system.
