Switchvox - Call Parking Extensions
A Call Parking extension "parks" a call so it can be retrieved from another phone. Users transfer the call to the ‘main’ Call Parking extension, but the call is parked in one of the extensions in the range specified. To answer a parked call, dial the extension the call is parked on. Calls cannot be parked to a Peered Switchvox, only to the local Switchvox.
Name. Provide this extension with a unique name. The name is used to identify different parking lots within the system.
Parking Lot Start and End. The range of extension numbers to be used for parked calls. A Call Parking extension 700 is preconfigured, and reserves all extensions between 701 and 799. For information about the extension-number length, see Switchvox - Extension Settings .
Music On Hold Group. This option is used if there is separate hold music for parking lots, as opposed to Call Queues. It is set automatically to the default Music On Hold Group.
Park Timeout Settings
This setting is used to determine what happens if a call is not answered within a set period of time.
In the first blank enter the amount of time, in seconds, to park the call before sending the call to a different extension
In the second blank, place the extension that the call should be sent once the amount of time has been reached.
Leave the second blank empty if you want to return the call to original extension that parked the call after the time limit has been reached.
