Telephony Cards - Is your T1 card being detected as an ethernet interface (eth0 or eth1)?

If your T1/PRI card is being detected as a NIC (eth0 or eth1), the following steps should correct the behavior:
Please note the steps 4 and 5 are for the AA355 only(*)

  1. Remove card from software - /admin > Server > Telephony cards

  2. Shut down PBX

  3. Remove T1 card from PBX

  4. Reboot PBX but access the bios by pressing F2 key,

  5. Once in the bios, on the first 'main' section, you will see an option called 'native mode operation', this should be set to serial ATA'.

  6. Save bios settings and exit. Boot up PBX.

  7. Make sure eth0 is configured as the on board NIC

  8. Shut down PBX again

  9. Make sure any modules on the T1 card are seated (hardware echo cancellation).

  10. Reseat T1 card in different PCI slot

  11. Boot PBX back up,

  12. Check to make sure on-board NIC is the only detected NIC card and eth0 is still on board NIC
