Backup & Restore


The following information will guide you through the process of taking a full backup of your Vega Gateway, and how to restore it.

Please note that the Backup & Restore process is not available across different Vega Models.
Example: A backup from a Vega 50 cannot be restored on a Vega 60G

 

Backup Vega Gateway Configuration 

From the Vega Gateway WebGUI:

  1. Select "Expert Config" on the left menu, then select "System" from the available options (A new page will load).

     

  2. From the System Management  page that has just loaded, navigate to the Configuration section.
    Click on the 'Download' button to retrieve a full backup of your Vega Gateway. This includes Network, dialplan, license..etc.


    A file called 'config.txt' will be downloaded to your local machine. This is your backup.
    You may re-name it if you wish.

 

Restore Vega Gateway Configuration 

  1. Select "Expert Config" on the left menu, then select "System" from the available options (A new page will load).

     

  2. From the System Management page that has just loaded, navigate to the Configuration section.
    Near the "Send  File to Gateway"  - Select  "Choose...", this will cause a pop-up window to appear.

     

  3. Using the popup window, locate and select the config file to be loaded to the Vega gateway. 
    Select "open" to confirm the selection

     

  4. Select the "Upload" button to start the config load process.

     

  5. Once the process has completed select the Return arrow button to return to the Vega WebUI page

     

  6. A save will need to be performed and if the Vega should be rebooted

 

 
Restore is now complete
