Redirection Information Assertion
The Redirection Information Assertion pane is used to create and insert the Redirection Information as well as the Redirecting Number into an outgoing SS7 IAM message when the message is interworked from an incoming ISDN channel group. Through the use of the ClientView application, values for the different elements in the Redirection Information parameter can be inserted and transmitted out an SS7 channel group. These parameters are transmitted in the SS7 IAM message. Refer to the information below for information on configuring this object.

Field Descriptions
Redirection Information Assertion
Disabled (Default) - Disabled is the default setting when creating the Redirection Information Assertion object. When Disabled is set, the feature is disabled. When the object is Disabled, the object is labeled Redirection Information Assertion Disabled.
Enabled - Redirection Information and Redirecting Number parameters configured in the fields below will be added to the outgoing SS7 IAM message. When the object is enabled, the object is labeled Redirection Information Assertion Enabled.
Redirecting Indicator
The Redirecting Number field indicates how the call was forwarded (diverted or rerouted) and the presentation restriction indicators regarding the Redirecting Indicator and Redirecting Number. By configuring the Redirecting Indicator field to one of the parameters in the table below, the outgoing SS7 IAM message will have the configured Redirecting Indicator parameter set in its outgoing message.

Original Redirection Reason
Indicates why the first forwarding station forwarded the call. By configuring the Original Redirection Reason field to one of the parameters in the table below, the outgoing SS7 IAM message will have the configured Original Redirection Reason parameter set in its outgoing message.

Redirection Counter (Range 1-7)
Indicates the number of times a call has been forwarded. The redirection counter is used to eliminate forwarding loops where a call ties up network resources because it is forwarded an excessive number of times. By configuring the Redirection Counter to one of the values in the drop down menu, the outgoing SS7 IAM message will have the configured redirection counter value in its outgoing message.
Redirecting Reason
Indicates the reason a call is being forwarded or redirected. By configuring the Redirecting Reason to one of the parameters in the table below, the outgoing SS7 IAM message will have the configured Redirecting Reason parameter set in its outgoing message.

Redirecting Number
Indicates the number of the last station that forwarded or redirected the call. By configuring the Redirecting Number to one of the parameters in the table below, the outgoing SS7 IAM message will have either Calling Party Number or none set in its outgoing message.
