IMG 1010 - Creating a Logical IMG

Before adding and configuring a Physical IMG, a logical IMG must be created. From there, Physical IMG's can be added.

Physical IMG's in the same Logical IMG do not have to be co-located.

Physical IMG's do not have to be in the same Logical IMG unless you are doing SS7 signaling and they are controlled by the same SS7 stack.

Procedure:

  1. Right-click IMG EMS and select New Logical IMG.

    The Logical IMG pane appears

  1. In the Name field, enter a name for the Logical IMG.

  2. Right-click the Logical IMG entry and select Commit.

See IMG 1010 - Logical IMG for more details.
