IMG 1010 - Time Zone Setting

Description:

The IMG by default uses and displays the time using GMT (Greenwich Mean Time). This time can be modified using the Time Zone Setting pane. Time is configured as +/- GMT. Once the Time Zone pane is configured, all IMG functions that use time will now use the adjusted time configured in this pane. To create the Time Zone object, right click on the physical IMG and select New UTC Offset.

When configuring a Radius Client, the Radius Client can be configured to display the local time and the offset from GMT (Legacy Format with Timezone). If the 'Radius Time Format' field is set to 'Legacy Format with Timezone' then the local time and the UTC Offset will be displayed in the Radius CDR attributes shown below

  • setup time

  • connect time

  • disconnect time

The IMG does not support Daylight Saving Time (DST). The Time Zone Offset configured here will need to be changed twice a year to accommodate Daylight Saving Time

Accessing this Pane:

Dialogic IMG EMS > Logical IMG > Physical IMG > New UTC Offset

Maximum Objects:

One UTC offset can be created per Physical IMG

Field Descriptions:

offset from UTC time

The offset from GMT can be configured here. Select from the drop down menu to either add or subtract from GMT. For example, if the local time in Boston needed to be set then select UTC -4:00. This would subtract 4 hours from GMT and display the local Boston time. UTC offset is selected in +/- 30 minute increments.
