10.5.3_SP5 - An Overview of Features
F-1450 Single Number for Voice and Fax
Brief Description:
When feature F-1450 is configured, using the same dialing number, the IMG will be able to switch the SIP call from a voice endpoint to a fax endpoint device. A SIP user first dials a number and the call comes into the IMG. The IMG then routes the call through an outgoing channel group to a configured voice endpoint such as a SIP voice gateway. Within this call, the user then sends a fax and the IMG detects the fax tone. The IMG then disconnects the outgoing side of the call from the initial voice external gateway and reconnects it to the fax external gateway. The call is now connected to the fax device, and the fax is thus sent to the proper destination. Because the call is always routed to a voice endpoint, the call remains at the voice endpoint if no fax tones are detected. The call doesn’t switch to the fax endpoint. F-5084 SS7 Hop Counter to SIP Max Forwards mapping
Brief Description:
The Hop Counter / Max Forwards Interworking field can enable or disable the mapping of the Hop Counter Parameter value in the ISUP IAM message with the Max Forward Header value in the SIP INVITE message. When enabled, the IMG will map the value of the Hop Counter parameter and the Max Forwards Header value so there is a correlation between the two. The value will be decremented by one when this mapping occurs. This is done to prevent loops when call is made between the PSTN and SIP domains. The Hop Counter / Max Forward feature is consistent with RFC 3261 and ITU Q.1912.5 Â specifications and is supported in both ANSI and ITU protocols. See Related Topics below for more information.

F-5612 Support for Relaying CPG after ANM to SIP side
Brief Description:
After a call is connected if the IMG receives a Call Progress (CPG) message with the Generic Notification Indicator parameter embedded, it will interwork the parameter into a SIP INFO message on the SIP side. The interworked parameter will be of the format: Generic-Notification: XY (The variables XY would be the hexadecimal representation of the generic indicator). When configured, this functionality would only apply to the CPG message received after the ANM (after call is connected). See links in related topics below.

F-5626 Support for Presentation Number in the British Telecom Variant
Brief Description:
Feature F-5626 Support for Presentation Number in the British Telecom Variant adds the Presentation Number into the outbound IAM message sent from the IMG. The value of the Presentation Number is derived from the Generic Number in one of the following SIP headers:
Remote Party ID (RPID)
P-Asserted Identity
Routing Number
For the feature to function correctly, a new variant (British Telecom) needs to be imported to the signaling variants object within ClientView. To acquire the new variant along with information on how to import the variant contact Technical Support and they will supply all necessary documents and files needed to configure the feature. Below is Call Flow diagram displaying how the feature behaves.
