FAQ
Q. Where do I go to log into HUDweb?
A. Enter http://hudweb.fonality.com in your browser
Q. What credentials do I use for HUDweb?
A. Use the same credentials you use for HUD desktop (your web username and web password.) If you do not have these, please contact your system administrator.
Q. I get a message saying that I am not licensed to use HUDweb, what's wrong?
A. You must have an available license assigned to your user to use HUDweb. Your system administrator may assign you the license in the Fonality server control panel.
Q. What ports need to be open in order for HUDweb to work.
A. For hosted customers it should not be necessary to open any ports on your firewall to achieve HUDweb connectivity. For on prem systems, there are two considerations. First, the interface for HUDweb connects on port 5222 TCP. This should be open and forwarded to the Fonality system. Second, there is a softphone built into HUDweb that needs the same ports open as a traditional remote user (UDP 5060, UDP 10000-20000.) This will ensure that you have full functions available with HUDweb.
Q. I don't want to open all those ports unrestricted, can I lock it down to Fonality?
A. Yes, you may lock your access lists to allow only Fonality's range of IPs to connect. Make sure to allow 74.115.96.0/22 and 74.122.116.0/22. Keep in mind you will also have to allow access for any public IP address that will need to use the HUD Web softphone on top of the Fonality IP ranges.
Q. How do I retrieve a call from Call Parking?
A. Click on the call's icon in the Call parking window and select "Take." The call will then ring back to your location.
