The configuration section of PBX Vega Gateway Module will provide the options to perform Vega gateway configuration.
The Vega Gateway Module will perform the fresh configuration of Vega gateway. All existing configuration of associated Vega gateway will be erased.
Basic Config , LAN and Advanced configuration section will be same for all Vega models.
The Vega Gateway Module will push configuration to the Vega Gateway and Reboot it. Reboot process may take a few minutes depending on the Vega Gateway model. The dashboard page will need to be refresh manually to get current Vega Gateway status
Below is a sample screenshot of a Vega 60G FXS Gateway configuration page.
Basic Configuration
As shown in the above screenshot, the following parameters are configurable:
Vega Rx Sip Port - Vega Gateway local SIP signaling port.
Vega SSH Port - SSH port of Vega gateway.
Hostname - Hostname of Vega gateway. This can be any unique hostname in alphanumeric format.
Country - Vega gateway country profile. This is based on this country the Vega Gateway will reside and will apply selected country profile configurations like tones etc.
Emergency numbers - Emergency number configuration.
LAN Configuration
As shown in below LAN Configuration screenshot, The Vega gateway LAN settings are configured, such as Static IP or DHCP.
If selecting "Static" for "IP Assignment", then all the LAN related settings like gateway, DNS , NTP server will need to be entered
SIP Driver Configuration
We can use either PJSIP or ChanSIP as driver to connect to Vega gateways from FreePBX.
We need to choose the SIP Driver to connect from the Vega configuration section.
Configuration will displayed trunks or extensions based on the selected driver for example if we choose PJSIP then only PJSIP trunks and extensions will gets displayed.

Advanced Configuration
As shown in the below sample screenshot, the options are:
Upload Vega Config file - This must be the PBX Vega Gateway Module generated configuration file. This is useful for backup/restore of the Vega gateway configuration from PBX Vega Gateway Module.
Edit Vega config - For advance user to modify specific Vega configuration parameter.
Download Vega Config - Download Vega gateway configuration file.
Changing Vega admin user password.
The Vega Gateway configuration can be restored by uploading the PBX Vega Gateway Module generated configuration file. You cannot upload the configuration file downloaded from Vega Gateway to the PBX Vega Gateway Module.
FXS Configuration
As shown in thebelow screenshot , the following parameters are required:
Visual Message waiting indication - This is visual Message waiting indicator for voice mail indication to user.
Caller Id - Caller id type. Refer to Vega admin guide for more details of available caller id type.
Digital Rx Gain - Gain applied to received audio from analog line to boost the received signal.
Digital Tx Gain - Gain applied to transmitted audio towards analog line to boost the transmitted signal.
Telephone Interface -
Associated Extention against each port of FXS gateway.
We can select existing created extentions or can create new one from the drop down list "Add new extentions" option.
Each port of FXS gateway will register to FreePBX / PBXact
Caller ID, MWI , Digital Rx and Tx gain will automatically be set to Vega gateways default values as per the selected "Country" in Basic configuration.
FXO Configuration
Each port of FXO gateway will be associated with configured SIP Trunk.
As shown in below screenshot -
SIP Trunk - Select SIP trunk to associate this FXO gateway from existing trunks or create new one from drop down list).
Caller ID - Caller id type. Refer to Vega admin guide for more details of available caller id type
Digital Rx Gain - Gain applied to received audio from analog line to boost the received signal.
Digital Tx Gain - Gain applied to transmitted audio towards analog line to boost the transmitted signal.
Tone Based Disconnect - Use tone based disconnect method. Refer to Vega admin guide for more details.
Telephone Connections - This will have FXO configurations for each FXO port.
Handle Emergency calls - Select if this port will be use to handle emergency calls as well.
Enable Caller-id Detection - Detection of caller id is enable on this port.
Numeric Caller id - Numeric caller id of this port.
Textual caller id - Textual caller id.
Telephone number(s) to route to this FXO interface - Specify number(s) or '.*' (all) to send to specific FXO ports.
'DID to forward to FreePBX - This is "inbound routes" DID in freepbx.
Digital/PRI Configuration
Each port of Digital/PRI gateway will be associated with configured SIP Trunk
As shown in below screenshot -
SIP Trunk - Select SIP trunk to associate this Digital gateway from existing trunks or create new one from drop down list).
Network Topology - E1 or T1.
ISDN Ports - Depends on Digital Vega gateway models , this will show the list of available ports.
Enabled - Enable/Disable this port.
Protocol - ISDN protocol
NT - Whether this port will be treated as NT(Network Terminal) or CPE (Customer Premises Equipment).
Handle Emergency calls - If port is selected as CPE then will this port allowed to handle emegerency calls.
CrossOver - Select if you are using cross cable to connect to remote end isdn device.
Clock Master - TSelect if you want this port clock to be master.
Framing - Framing protocol for this port.
Line Encoding - Line Encoding protocol for this port. Caller id type.
