Restore Factory Image from USB Device

Before starting the restore ensure you get a copy of the SBC configuration. Even if the device is unconfigured this will ensure you have your license.

  1. Reboot or Power on your appliance.

  2. At the BIOS POST, press the "DEL" key on the keyboard to enter the BIOS. You will then enter the BIOS.

  3. Navigate to the "Boot" menu and adjust "Boot Option #1" to boot to your USB restore drive. In this example, we used a Lexar JumpDrive. Press "Enter" on the keyboard to accept the change.

  4. Navigate to the "Save and Exit" menu and highlight "Save Changed and Reset".

  5. The Express for Lync unit will then reboot, and enter the USB restore image. At this point, everything is automated and once completed, your Express for Lync will power down. The imaging process can take between 30 minutes to 1 hour depending on the version of Express for Lync being installed.

  6. Once the unit has powered down, power it back up, and it will launch Microsoft Windows. All settings will be at defaults, including the administrative account. The username password combination for the administrative account is "administrator/sangoma1!".
