Registering with multiple PBXs
The following information will guide you how to register some of your FXS ports to one SIP endpoint and other FXS ports to a separate SIP endpoint.
For the example below, we will use a vega50 with 4 FXS ports, but the information can be applied to all Vega analog gateways
Goal:
FXS ports 1, 2 and 3 are registered to the first SIP endpoint
FXS port 4 is registered to the second SIP endpoint.
1) The first step is to configure 2 SIP profiles. The first SIP profile will be used for FXS ports 1,2 and 3, and the second for FXS port 4.
Here is a screenshot of what you should have after you have created both SIP profiles. This is visible after clicking 'SIP' from your Vega WebGUI
a) Creation of First SIP profile:
Click on 'modify' seen from above screenshot for the SIP profile indicated with Interface ID 9901 (You will have this profile in the Vega by default)
Rename the Name of this sip profile just for visual purposes to help clarify where this profile should be pointing to.
Edit the 'Local Domain' to be the IP/FQDN of the first SIP endpoint.
The screenshot below shows you an example, using 'first.proxy.com' as our 'Local Domain;
da
Once complete make sure to click the 'Submit' button to proceed.
b) Scroll down and click on 'Modify' to set the Proxy settings for the first sip profile.
c) Edit the SIP Registrar Information by clicking on 'Modify'
2. Perform all the steps above, now to create the Second Sip Profile.
a) For the second SIP profile we want to create:
Name: something that helps you understand where this sip profile is going to
Interface ID: 9902
Local Domain: IP/FQDN for the second sip endpoint. In our example, we use 'second.proxy.com'
b) Edit the Proxy details for this second sip profile
c) Edit the Registrar information for the second sip profile.
3) a)Create identity credentials for each of the FXS ports 1, 2, 3, 4
Click on 'SIP Registration Users'
Note that Sip users 1,2 and 3 has been associated with the first sip profile user 4 has been associated to SecondProfile with the corresponding user Name and authentication Index.
You might need to adjust to the specific DN and user name of your case.
b) Complete the Authentication table by clicking on 'SIP Authentication'
c) Modify and adjust the table accordingly to the credentials assigned to each identity and the associated profile:
4) The last step is to adjust the Dialplan
Click on 'Dialplan' from the vega WebGUI and click on the 'To_SIP' plan
Adjust the dialplan according to the guide below:
For our dialplan, we have indicated that calls from fxs ports 1,2 and 3 ( IF: 010[123]) will go out sip profile 1 (IF:9901), which go to sip end point 1
Calls from fxs port 4 (by IF:0104) will go out sip profile 2 ( IF: 9902) which go to sip endpoint 2
