SS7 - Nodes - Remote Node
The Remote Node object assigns an already configured physical node (IMG 2020) to be a Remote SS7 server node. When configuring SS7 functionality, the Remote Node can be configured to handle remote CICs. These CICs are controlled by the SS7 server that has obtained the active SS7 server role. To create the Remote Node object, right click on the SS7 Nodes object and select New Remote.

The Remote Node is created under the SS7 Nodes object. The Remote Node object assigns the node selected from the drop down menu to be a Remote SS7 server node. The Remote Node will process the data through any CICs that are configured on it. However, the CICs will be controlled by either the Primary or Secondary SS7 Server node. Whichever is active. The Primary SS7 server node should be created before any Remote SS7 server nodes. Refer to the links below for more information on each of the Node Types configured under the SS7 Nodes object.
